Premiership Sharpshooters is a traditional fantasy football game where your selected players score points based on their real life performances in the English Carling Premier League. The game is played online and you can check on your team's progress on this site, scores are updated weekly (usually on a Sunday evening, but sometimes on Monday).
Entry Fee
One free entry is available per person/email address providing that you first join the free AllAdvantage.com "Get Paid to Surf" service, see "Your Free Entry" below for details. For additional entries the fee is £5 per team, this is all you pay for the whole game as transfers, league table updates etc. are all free. After the closing date for the main game free "Manager of the Month Only" entries can still be made for a period of time.
Duration
The new game will start on Saturday 19 August 2000 (the first day of the season) and finish on Sunday 10 December 2000, that's a duration of 16 weeks and 2 days.
Team Selection
Your team must:
1. Have 11 different players selected from the list of players.
2. Have the formation: 1 goalkeeper, 4 defenders, 3 midfielders, 3 strikers.
3. Have a maximum total value of £60million.
There is no limit to the number of players selected from any Premiership club.
The list of players will not be added to or changed during the course of the game.
How to Enter
Entry for the game will be possible from mid July 2000.
Paid-for Entries
If you do no not want to join AllAdvantage, or you are already an AllAdvantage member, or you wish to submit more than one entry you will have to pay £5 per team. Paid-for entries must be made by post using the ENTRY FORM that you can print off. The address and payment details are given on the form. Paid-for entries cannot be made electronically.
Free Entries
Free entries are made over the Internet using the entry form on the ENTRY page AFTER you have signed up with AllAdvantage.com. Free entries are strictly limited to one per person or email address. A person making more than one free entry will have all entries disqualified.
Unsuitable team and manager names will be changed. Once you have entered there is NOTHING to pay during the game.

If you have already joined Alladvantage in order to receive a free entry in a previous Sharpshooters game I am afraid that you will have to pay to enter this time.
ScoringYour selected players score points for your team based on their real-life performances in Carling Premier League matches played between Saturday 19 August 2000 and Sunday 10 December 2000 inclusive. No Cup or other non Premier League matches count towards the game. The scoring system is as follows:

1. They are on the pitch at some stage during the match (whatever length of time), and
2. their team completes the whole game without conceding a goal.
Points are not awarded or deducted for scoring an own goal. If a player receives a second yellow card or a yellow and red card during a game (i.e. sent off) the total deduction is 3 points.
Transfers
Each manager is allowed to transfer four players during the game, there is no charge for transfers. They can be submitted at any time but must be received by midnight on Saturday (British time) to become effective for the following week's games, starting on the Monday. Any number of transfers can be made (within your overall limit) in a single week.
When transferring, your new team's value must remain at £60million or less and it must retain the 1-4-3-3 formation.
How to Transfer
Transfers MUST be made by submission of the transfer form over the Internet (or by email if you experience problems with the form). You will find the form and email link on the TRANSFERS page. Postal transfers will not be accepted.
To make a transfer you must state your TRANSFER PASSWORD, this will usually be either your POSTCODE (paid-for entries) or your Alladvantage.com I.D. (free entries). No password-No transfer. Do not ask me to tell you your password.
Transfer requests not complying with the above will not be accepted. Your transfers will appear on your teamsheet (on the TEAMS page) at beginning of the week in which they took effect. Please check your teamsheet for any errors in processing. Any errors not notified to us within 21 days of the transfer taking effect will not be amended, unless they are not valid (in which case they will be rejected).
In addition to the main game your team will be automatically entered into the Manager of the Month games for September, October and November. The winner and runner-up of each monthly game will collect a cash prize. The games will run between the following inclusive dates:
September: Mon. 4 September 2000 - Sun. 1 October 2000 October: Mon. 2 October 2000 - Sun. 29 October 2000 November: Mon. 30 October 2000 - Sun. 26 November 2000

The cash prizes total £500 and will be as as follows:
